Pathfinder Tours
The Growling Grockle

Train cancelled due to omission of Barnstaple branch. The Pathfinder Tours Website carried the following statement:

"The tour is unable to traverse the Barnstaple branch from Exeter, The highlight for many. This is due to the recent June timetable changes making it impossible for loco hauled train (running at an allowed maximum speed of 30 mph north of Crediton) to now find enough spare single line capacity to fit in between the service trains. We cannot even get halfway to Eggesford. Paington was looked at as an alternative, but Network Rail operating constraints associated with this taking place made this a non-starter."
