Lycra also comments: A lightly loaded and not well advertised wander around London, mentioned in the November Railtourer Column in Modern Railways that year. So, being at a loose end I booked the day before and scratched no new track! Result (not). Two bottles of red wine-a George Dubouef Beaujolais I think-en route meant things were getting a bit vague by Sutton! Food excellent. John Farrow noted at Liverpool Street watching the train depart. Give the minimal advertising and very light loading of the train, I think RCS got their fingers burnt running this trip and probably struggled to break even.
