Notes :
(1) The train suffered air problems after Bedford - the rumour circulating the train was that a shaft had nudged an air pipe on the very tight corner on the line avoiding Bedford St Johns.  The preservation people at Quainton Road (where the train stopped for a museum visit) helped with the loan of welding kit for running repairs!
(2) After Marylebone the booked route had been: Marylebone - Neasden South Jn - West Ruislip (reverse) - Northolt Jn - (presumably via Greenford and Ealing Broadway) - Acton Wells Jn - Dudding Hill Jn - Cricklewood - St Pancras. Reason for the change of routing was because the driver did not know the route.
