The North Western

Loco Used steam: 790 'Hardwicke'
Stock Used 4 mark 1 coaches (BFK+ 3x FO incl. 3133)

Route : 1L00 throughout (4 round trips made)

Loco Route
790 Carnforth - Silverdale - Arnside - Grange-over-Sands
790 Grange-over-Sands - Arnside - Silverdale - Carnforth

Notes :
(1) The letter sent out with the tickets stated that the ticket was only valid for the return journey specified (by it's colour) but that passengers could, should they wish return by any ordinary DMU service train. 790 was booked to run chimney leading to grange and tender-first on the return. Roger Jones however comments that, from his photos, the loco was presumably reversed for some reason in between the second (blue) and third (cream) runs.
