(2)
'Watford-type electric compartment set' given against an original routing of New Cross Gate to Paddington (Suburban) & back. Was this the only tube stock used?
(3) The advertising sheet carried the following notes: 'Conducted Rambles (optional) will be arranged with the usual catering facilities. It is hoped to include a river trip for some of the parties at extra fare. This excursion is also suitable for NON-WALKERS. Boats may be hired at a number of points and suitable connections will be made with Salter Bros vessels of which details will be distributed on the train so passengers may enjoy some of the finest river scenery, including the famous CLIVEDEN REACH.
(4) It was possible to purchase tickets from the stations at
New Cross Gate, Aldgate East, Moorgate (Met.) & King's Cross (Met.) and from the other stations on the day from 20 minutes to 5 minutes prior to departure time, or in advance from G.R. Lockie if remittance and an addressed envelope was received no later than 31st July 1958.
