(1) For Luton Town v. Aston Villa match. Route confirmation required - seen arriving at Luton Midland Road hauled by 44391 & 44491 and departing on the return hauled by 43934 & 44491, it being understood that 44391 had failed at Cricklewood before departure with the E.C.S. for the return leg. The use of a double-headed pair of Northampton 0-6-0s suggests that the train was almost certainly routed via the Northampton/Bedford line.
