The scanned ticket below is made out to R.A.Pease, Esq., who was probably a descendant of Edward Pease, the main promoter of the S&DR, and who collaborated with the Stephensons, to get it approved, designed and built. It was Britain's first Steam Railway, utilising LOCOMOTION, NO.1
