Notes :
(1) No fewer than fourteen separate excursion trains left Burton-on-Trent at ten minute periods between 03.40 and 06.00am, arriving in Scarborough between 07.40 and 10.00am. Return from the coast was between 8.30pm and 10.55pm. Staff were issued a handbook by the company listing hotels, restaurants and Bass public houses, as well as information on Scarborough Tramways and local bus services. These excursions ran shortly before the Great War started, and had been an annual event for Bass Breweries for many years. Route & loco confirmation required.
