Notes :
(1) John Clifford comments : LCGB & RCTS issued a sheet in Dec. 1962 giving provisional details of this tour but saying that they hope to run the tour on one of the 3 dates shown. At the time they had asked BR to keep a Schools available for the tour even though they were all due to be withdrawn at the end of Dec 1962. We finally got a note in Feb. 1963 saying that BR had inspected all the Schools (withdrawn by this time) and none of them were in a fit mechanical condition to be steamed again. This was probably due to the length of time BR had taken as all the engines has suffered frost & snow damage but to their being stabled in the open.
