Having brought in the last Deltic-hauled farewell railtour to Kings Cross, 55022 'Royal Scots Grey' pulls away into the darkness and the era of mainline Deltics was over...well, until 1996 that is! At the time my feelings for the hobby (having chased the Deltics around for several years) were such that this could easily have been the last railway photograph I ever took.
