(3) Train was around 2 hours late arriving at Darlington on the outward leg; having been 30mins late at Crewe a further 90mins was lost at Stockport to remove the buffet car into sidings because one of the exterior doors had opened near Cheadle Hulme while the train was moving.
(4) This was the last special to traverse the Weardale line before it closed following the cessation of cement traffic from Eastgate.
