(1) There was an option for passengers to go by luxury coach to the Mid Hants Railway. The outward leg from Alresford to Alton was made behind a S15 Schools class steam loco, confirmation is required if it also hauled the return leg.
(2) Return routing at Willesden not clear - train was however delayed by a points failure in the Willesden area and ended up back at Bedford about 1 hour late as a result.
