Additional information provided by Jeremy Hinks;
At Warrington, 20117 + 20121 were waiting to take over, if I remember rightly they may even have backed onto the stock, but due to unknown fault they were failed before working (Roger Elliott comments : 20117/121 did come out the bay and onto the train but the wheelslip light was up every time one of the 20's took power (can't remember which one) but the loco wasn't slipping - this indicates a traction motor fault). 20131 + 20175 were provided instead (as shown) although 20131 shut down somewhere before Carlisle after leaking coolant.
