Notes :
(1) Each round trip would have been separately ticketed. Trains advertised to run on 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 28th & 29th December and the choice of steam locos advertised included 4498 'Sir Nigel Gresley', 4472 'Flying Scotsman' & 35028 'Clan Line'. At least 5305 also participated. It is believed that one steam loco would have operated the first and last legs and a second steam loco the two middle legs (this was how it worked on 28th December at least).
