(3) Harry Harper comments: The climb to Blaenau was very difficult due to wet
rails. We requisitioned the cap of a senior Preston basher & went through the
train, the resultant collection being presented to a very surprised driver at
Blaenau. The basher wears the same cap to this day but unfortunately never got
his wig back.
