Notes :
(1) Gordon Lacy comments: Another excellent offering from the CFPS with the ever popular 40084 in charge!  Originally booked for 8, it ran with 10 bogies. Despite running via the Western Platform at Grantham, a fine climb saw Stoke Summit taken at 56mph and a maximum of 95mph recorded passing Little Bytham. A lengthy signal stop before Peterborough, and a mile and a half pws slack at Kings Dyke were easily absorbed by the shortened March photostop (STN showed 11.43 arrival compared to previously advised 11.35)! A decent run over GE metals into Liverpool Street contrasted with the appallingly regulated return over the Cambridge line, causing us to be 32min late by Ely. Once back on the GN 40084 dropped into a Fast Line path, rather than the booked trundle on the slow to Stoke Summit. A maximum of only 78mph past Tallington still produced a respectable 64.5mph over the top.  86mph before Grantham and again at Claypole meant that the Ely arrears had been halved before I left the train at Newark Northgate.
