Notes :
(1) In Newcastle there was an option to visit the new T&W Metro (yet to open to the public). A ride was made on the Metro Test Track in unit 4002 (two return journeys). A road coach trip of the area was made, viewing works at Byker station, Ouseburn Viaduct and Metro Tyne Bridge.
(2) Alan Osborn comments: I didn't made a note in my records but I am wondering why I have only actual timings in the Sheffield area which makes me suggest this might have been a Diversion off the the booked route. Confirmation anyone please (this may be confirmed on the outward as the train was close to time before Sheffield but 30 minutes down by Church Fenton)?
