(1) For those opting to travel on both tours (for which there was a price reduction over the two individual fares) it was suggested to break for lunch in Bideford between approx 12:25 and 13:40 then for tea between approx. 15:35 to 16:50 - from the timings provided it is assumed the train ran E.C.S. between Bideford (after arriving at approx. 12:25 on the 'Devon Explorer I') and Barnstaple (arriving in time for the advertised departure of the 'Devon Explorer II' at approx. 13:20)
