(1) The tour had been planned to cover the Holmes Curve, (Masborough South Jn to Holmes Jn), but this had been disconnected. As a result, the train was booked to run to Masborough North Jn, (if new signalling ready), or Aldwarke Jn , to reverse. On the day BR decided this was a bit silly, so routed the train direct from Beighton Jn through Darnall to Sheffield for it's first reversal.
(2) The train ran a quarter of a mile beyond Torksey station, onto the oil siding branch, to just short of the boarded crossing.
(3) The train was booked to run from Bridge Jn to St James Jn, but ran into Doncaster station, (centre road), to reverse. This was because the signalling for the curve was disconnected.
(4) Alan Osborn queries the identification of one DMU car - he noted 50336 rather than 50326 as above - confirmation someone please?
