Notes:
(1) Loco propelling.
(2) Train was booked via Stratford station. Greg Beecroft comments: the diversion via the curve from High Meads Jn to Lea Jn, rather than Stratford station, as scheduled, is of note.  This curve was officially banned to passenger trains at the time, and appears to have been done by local arrangement.  Note the scheduled photo stop at Lea Bridge, during most of which the tour organiser was on the phone to the signalbox!

John Clifford comments : This tour was the first (I think) of a number of successful tours arranged by the South Western division of the Southern Region. Were that the present day TOC's as resourceful! We covered the remains of the Tooting Goods line which by this time went only to Merton Abbey. I'm writing this in May 2003 and believe that the line had shut by this time throughout so we were the last passenger train to use it.
