Notes :
(1) This ten coach train covered 280 miles in just under twelve hours. Although the locomotives were not in the best of condition the hard work of the crews brought the train home only about thirty minutes late, although they never really given the chance to get the best out of the locomotives.
(2) In the reversal of the train at Windermere 44874 was used to release 70013 from the train.
(3) On arrival at Preston from Morecombe a vacuum fault was discovered on 45342. This required swapping 45342 & 45156 around, putting the extremely polished 45156 next to the coaches, much to the disappointment of the lineside photographers.
