Photo Review

Alan Grange comments: Our local MPD at West Hartlepool closed on 9th September 1967. The next day, Flying Scotsman showed up for servicing after a special train to Newcastle before returning to Doncaster. This gave our humble depot 51C a glorious send-off, and many people showed up to see such a famous locomotive. Then our steam starved lives resumed. Here are a couple of Alan's photos of the event:
