Notes :
(1) Some publications list this railtour as having been cancelled from 5th September and run instead on this date, however various contributors who travelled and photographed the earlier date train all confirm that one did indeed run on 5th September (on that occasion it went from Exeter via Okehampton, steam-hauled). Bernard Mills comments that this was the last through train between Plymouth & Launceston.
