18th April 1964
(Shakespeare 400th Anniversary Special)
|Loco(s) Used||at least 35011|
|35011||Bournemouth West - ?Reading? - Oxford - Kingham - Honeybourne - Stratford-upon-Avon|
|35011||Stratford-upon-Avon - (?reverse of outward route?) - Bournemouth West|
(1) Route & loco confirmation required - Numerous excursions, from all over the country, were run in connection with the Shakespeare 400th anniversary. A published photo of 35011 leaving Stratford on the return leg suggests the loco worked both ways however the caption of the photo suggests the train was bound for Poole rather than terminating at Bournemouth West as first suggested. Confirmation is required if 35011 worked throughout on the return.
