Notes :
(1) It was originally suggested that this tour was to have run on 23rd July 1961 but was postponed to this date for reason(s) unknown however a letter seen by the Webmaster to a prospective passenger on the original running date clearly states the tour had been cancelled due to insufficient numbers and their cheque was returned un-cashed. It is therefore unclear why, as has been stated, the unused 1961 tour tickets were used in conjunction with other more basic tickets on this date?
(2) Route confirmation required - above is from booked timings. Was understood to have visited New Holland Pier but this is not reflected in the timing sheet. May have operated jointly with the Gainsborough Model Railway Society. A comment on the booking form stated 'owing to lack of time it has been necessary to omit the section from Stainforth to Doncaster via Carcroft'.
