4056 photographed being serviced on Barton Shed at Hereford during this tour and
is assumed to have been used throughout as implicated in the tour covering
letter. It was stated 4056 would be used but if not available then a Tyseley
'Hall' would substitute. Passengers from
Stratford-upon-Avon were able to use the 08.15 service train to
reach the tour at no extra charge. Passengers for Stourbridge Junction &
Kidderminster were able to return home on the 21.10 from Snow Hill (which was
going to be held to connect with the special), at no extra charge.
