(2) 47802 propelling failed 34067.
(3) 80217 was only in the consist when 34067 was on the train.
(4) It is reported that 34067 failed near Ormside, due to a detached piston rod and pierced cylinder.
(5) 47802 was failed on arrival at Carlisle with wheel flats. The tour was then cancelled. Passengers conveyed to London by Avanti services.
(6) This tour replaced the 'Cumbrian Coast Express' on the same date.
