(3) John Clifford's comments: This tour was a rerun of the 4th November 2018 tour, which was derailed in Dee Marsh Sidings. It was a charity tour to raise money for Merseyside and Chester Blood Bikes. They transport various items on behalf of the local N.H.S. by motor cycle. This tour used part of the stock from the previous day's 'Marching Crompton II'. The tour started almost on time, but was stopped outside Chester to let the 09.39 Chester - Crewe depart, even though we were due through Chester first. Much time was allowed in the Wrexham area, so we were able to make the lost time. Having got to Bidston East Jn we were held to let the 11.01 West Kirby - West Kirby via Liverpool go ahead. After the journey into Birkenhead Depot, the 11.01 was followed to West Kirby, having done its circuit of Liverpool. We stopped outside Wrexham to let the 13.57 Wrexham Central - Bidston come off the single line. Off the Chester Curve we had to wait for the 14.30 Chester - Chester via Liverpool precede. At Warrington Bank Quay we covered Platform 4 instead of the slow line (possible due to a signalling error). There was a wait outside Wigan Wallgate to let a set of E.C.S. shunt. During the break at Southport I discovered that the shop on the station does not sell tea, calamity! The schedule onwards was again slack, so we waited at Bamfurlong Jn for the 16.51 Edinburgh Waverley - Birmingham New Street to go ahead. Then at Weaver Jn the 19.47 Liverpool Lime Street - London Euston passed.
