(1) Banked by 67025 from Victoria station to Battersea Pier Jn.
(2) Booked route was Clapham Junction - Longhedge Jn - Stewarts Lane Jn - London Victoria; the diversion was due to the late running (caused partly due to problems with the fire on the outward leg).
(3) John Clifford comments: Because of engineering work between Battersea Pier Jn & Stewarts Lane on the South Eastern side the train ran from platform 7 at Victoria & ran via the down Brighton slow to get to Stewarts Lane. The first problem encountered was that the train bringing the relief driver to Woking was late which meant we left there 10mins adrift. Water was taken at Haslemere. This was unexpected so we were further delayed. After leaving Eastleigh it was evident that things were not going well as we were moving slowly. Then, close to M.P. 92 1/2 the train came to a halt with the engine having run out of 'puff'.  After a short delay enough steam was raised to get the train into Salisbury where the support crew sorted out the fire. All this meant that the next available path was 1 hour later than booked. Even then we still lost some more time arriving at Yeovil Junction 74mins late. An announcement on the train told us that the support crew hoped to have the servicing done quickly so that we would leave on time. Sadly this was not achieved so we left Yeovil Junction 65mins late. Some time was made up to arrive at the Haslemere water stop 53mins late. During the return journey we were told that agreement had been reached with Network Rail for the train to run up the SW main line direct to Waterloo. At Byfleet the train stopped as the signal was showing the route to Addlestone Jn. The conversation between the driver and the signalman was to the effect that the signalman didn't know anything about a diversion so as we were booked to go via Addlestone Jn then that's the way we would be going. We set off & did make up some more time. Because of the engineering work mentioned above the train was diverted to Waterloo arriving 32mins late on the Victoria arrival time.
