Notes :
(1) Nick Wason comments: On 18/11 the tour ran inside the time of the Top Gear run last April with a heavier 13 coach load. Very efficient water stops throughout allowed us to regain time as time was lost on a very demanding schedule on certain sections. On 20/11 a stop was taken at Oxenholme due to 60163 having an air pump failure. After this had been corrected we were looped at Oxexholme to allow the late running 11.22 London Euston train to pass. We stopped for a blow up just north of Armitage Jn for around 10 minutes while the crew worked on the fire. The problem was coal taken onboard at Preston which I have been told was the same used throughout the 3 days. I left the train at Atherstone but hear that 60163 was declared a failure at Rugby where the train was terminated. All passengers travelled onwards by service train.
