(1) From the Pathfinder Tours Website: It is with great regret that we advise that the 'Tamar Tornado II' which was due to run on Saturday 21st August 2010 has now been cancelled due to the ongoing problems with the featured steam locomotive 'Tornado'. As you may be aware, 'Tornado' was temporarily withdrawn from mainline service at the end of June after two suspected faulty stays were found in the locomotives boiler during a routine inspection by fitters. Although extensive ongoing repairs to 'Tornado' have been carried out over the recent weeks we have sadly had to make the decision to cancel this excursion because of the uncertainty that 'Tornado' may not be successfully back on the mainline in time to haul this special train.
