(3) Martyn Catlin comments: The return was originally booked Tyne Valley, ECML to Colton Jn, Castleford, Glasshoughton, Knottingley, Askern, ECML. This was then amended to Colton Jn, Knottingley, Askern, ECML. On the day just as we left York it was announced the tour was going main line, however we proceeded to Milford and only after following a heated conversation between the driver and signalman went via Castleford and Glasshoughton after all.
