(3) Nick Lawford comments: Tour was advertised with 2x GBRf 73s between Waterloo
and Norden, piloted by 33/1 on the Swanage Railway. On the day the train was 2x
GBRf 73s in multiple leading and 1x GBRf 73 dead in tow on rear. The leading 73
(73208) on the outward train ran round to become the lead 73 for the return, the
other two 73, 73206 and 73212 remain in their respective positions at the west
and east ends of the train. No other traction was used, no 33, which was in my
view better, as it made it 73s throughout to Swanage under their own power. On
time departure, early arrival on to Swanage Railway; on time departure, slightly
late getting on the NR through Wareham, remaining slightly late all the way
back, the lateness slowly incrementing into Waterloo.
