Loop didn’t happen. We ran through the platform loop and straight out to main 
line. Similarly booked stop outside Cambridge station didn’t happen. We ran from 
Down Main directly into platform 1. Outward routing at Ely via Platform 1 to 
take water. Note about P2 in itinerary book may be an error as it would be 
difficult to run hoses to the island platform. Booked crew change at Lincoln 
didn’t happen, we ran through non-stop on non-platform line. Delayed outside 
Grimsby at Littlefield Lane Level Crossing due to police searching for a person 
threatening to commit suicide in front of a train, apparently not the special. 
Due to crowds around the loco at Cleethorpes it was impossible to take water and 
coal safely so this was altered to Barnetby. Ran onto goods line at Brocklesby 
Jn then detached 70013 outside Barnetby station. 70013 detached and ran forward 
 to West end of yard for refuelling. At Ely North Jn we crossed onto Down Main 
and then back over at station into Platform 3 loop.
