(2) John Clifford comments: This trip didn't get off to a good start. We started slightly late, then there was a TPWS activation on 67008 just it got to the end of the platform. This involved a 3 min wait while the problem was sorted out. There was then a 5 min wait under the Brighton line bridge near Clapham Junction. By Clapham Junction we were 11 min late (less than 3 miles from the start). As we were out of our path there was some slow running & we left the Woking stop over 16 min late. After leaving there we were stopped again near Farnborough to let a Weymouth train pass. After some good running we were stopped at Eastleigh & reached the Botley water stop over 40 min late. Botley was left 34 mins late. Even with a stop at Farlington Jn we had made up a small amount of time by Woking (left 30 min late). A slacker schedule saw us back at Victoria only 17 min late despite stops before Twickenham. 60163 then went on to haul another Steam Dreams charter in the evening; "The Cathedrals Express Kent Summer Circular".
