Notes :
(1) Delay caused by Track Circuit Failure in the Penkridge area.
(2) Signalman gave us the route direct into Euston and not into the Yard, hence the delay at North Wembley Jcn. The reason for going into the yard were that the 37 driver did not sign into London Euston, therefore the 37s needed to be attached in Wembley Yard and then the 86 driver acted as pilot back out of Euston as far Willesden West London Junction.
(3) 37601 + 37603 on rear.
(4) 37603 on rear.
(5) 37601 on rear.
(6) Departure time from Folkestone Harbour announced as 15.00; then shortly after some people had detrained it was announced as 14.45; then altered back to 15.00 later on.
(7) Problems with air pipes on coupling the 37s back into multiple led to delay at Ashford International.
(8) Plus 37601 - however, owing to a reg. air fault, only 37603 was powering.
(9) An additional set-down at Brixton was added due to late running.
(10)
On the Folkestone Harbour branch the instruction to the driver was to stop before the reverse curve in the platform which is what he did. Apparently, when a 37 went down there some time ago it hit the platform edge when it went further.
(11) Last coach in the rake originally uploaded as 5250 but believed in error and was actually 5350.

Comment
The use of 86101 was cancelled a couple of days before the tour, the reason given; "Victa Westlink, who are the Train Operating Company (TOC) for this excursion (and have always been since the word go), are now unable to provide drivers with Class 86 knowledge for the section from Crewe to London and return. Indeed, Victa are only able to provide drivers for this section by hiring in from another TOC, but are not able to find anyone with the required traction knowledge. The only locomotives available for this tour, and for which the hired-in drivers have traction knowledge, are Riviera Trains owned Class 47s" A second set of timings were produced which involved an earlier start from Crewe, running Top 'n' Tail 47s to Euston, where the trailing loco would then haul the tour to South West Sidings, (leaving the other 47 'on the blocks'), where the loco change to 2x37/6 would take place. The return from Willesden to Crewe was to be double-headed 47s...however, the day before the tour, the difficulties had been overcome & 86101 was back on the books along with the 37s running double-headed from Euston.
